GREEN DAY
We had a great time participating in Green Day activities. We got to do activities in different classrooms, we got to see a Science Show and we did some activiteis in our classroom based on the book “The Last Tree in the City” which is one of Miss Richards favourite books.

Hello my name is Charlotte and I live in England I would like to ask you some questions about you school. What time do you start school and what time do you finish? Do you live near the rainforest? What time do you have lunch? How much homework do you have a week?

Hi Charlotte
We are happy to answer your questions. We start school at 9.00 although our teacher lets us in at 8.50 and we spend some time doing silent reading with our mum/ dad or by ourselves. We then work usually on reading and writing until 11.00. Then we have recess for half an hour. Then we have two hours back in the classroom where we usually do maths and sometimes our specialist lessons ( like music, art, library, PE or Japanese or computer). Then we have one hour for lunch . This goes from 1.30 – 2.30. and then we have one hour back in our room for our integrated studies. So we finish school at 3.30 pm. As we are only in grade 1 we have three activities to do for homework, a little bit of spelling and we go onto Reading Eggs and Mathletics.
We live right at the bottom of Australia so we are quite a long way from the rainforests. We are really happy that you have written on our blog and we hope to hear back from you. What grade are you in? Where In England do you live?
